Lothar Matthäus is a World Champion, European Champion, has won the German championship seven times with Bayern Munich and can count three DFB-Cup championships, as well as the UEFA-Cup championship with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan amongst his successes. He was in the Champions League final twice and runner-up world champion two times.

The extraordinary successes of his career are due to his self-discipline, a highly competitive nature, amazing natural talent and his passion for football. Lothar Matthäus captained Germany to its third World Cup in 1990 and is one of only four honorary captains of the German national team. In 2004 he was included in the FIFA 100 list of the best living football players and he is the only football player to have been honoured as World Athlete of the Year.

Following 20 years as a national team player Lothar Matthäus began his successful career in Club Management in 2001. His international on-pitch experience led to coaching commitments at club level in Serbia, Austria, Brazil and Israel and on a national team level in Hungary and Bulgaria. His offensive playing tactic and leadership qualities led to a series of successes. He won the Austrian and Serbian championships, led Partizan Belgrade to the Champions League and achieved a remarkable away win against Germany with the Hungarian national team. Lothar was a Champion with Partizan Belgrade in 2002-2003 as he continued his career into the future he participated in the Champions League with Partizan Belgrade and progressed to become a champion with Red Bull Salzburg in 2006-2007.

Luther participated to become the manager of Hungary National Team from 2004–2006.
