Emma Hayes

First Team Manager Of Chelsea Ladies

Emma is currently the first team manager of Chelsea Ladies FC and the only female manager to win the Double. Emma was appointed manager of Chelsea Ladies in June 2012 and three years later successfully lead them to the Women’s FA Cup for the first time.

Not long after, the team also went on to gain the Women’s Super League title to complete a historic and memorable double. At the time Emma was the only female manager in that league. Emma has been in management for over a decade and her career doesn’t just include clubs nationally. In 2001 she left her home of North London for a spell in America. After five years, Emma returned to English football in 2006.

She served as assistant first team coach at Arsenal Ladies where they achieved huge success, winning 11 major trophies over three-seasons. They include three Women’s Premier League titles, three FA Women’s Cups and the UEFA Women’s Cup crown. As well as assistant First Team coach, Emma was also Academy Director; overseeing the development of young players at the club, many of whom currently feature in the Women’s Super League.

Emma is also an accomplished public speaker having appeared at many conferences, including the iconic Sports Leaders. In June 2016, Emma was made an MBE in the Queen’s 90th birthday honours list and was presented with it the following December.
