French football speaker and manager Arsene Wenger OBE is known as the longest serving managers of the North London team Arsenal FC; a former player Wenger has been working as a manger since his retirement in 1981 and managing Arsenal since 1996.

Prior to becoming a dedicated football speaker, Arsene Wenger OBE played for a number of European football teams including RC Strasbourg and French team Mullhouse and several other amateur clubs; after more than a decade as a player however Wenger gained his managers diploma and began working as a manager and sports speaker soon after.

Wenger’s first high profile managerial position was at Monaco FC in 1987 where he helped the club win the League championship and win the Coupe de France in his first four years. Whilst working as Monaco Wenger made his first forays as an after dinner speaker and began appearing as the football speaker and host at club events.

In his capacity as manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger OBE has guided the club to two League and FA Cup doubles (1998 & 2002), three Premier League wins (1997-98, 2001-02, 2003-04), five Premier League semi-finals (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002 & 2004) and a UEFA Champions League semi-final in 2005. In his work as a football speaker Wenger discusses the tactics and techniques he used to help garner so much success for the Gunners as well as appearing as a sports speaker at club events and celebrations.

Alongside his work as a specialist football after dinner speaker, Wenger has published a book on football management and also works as a football consultant for French television broadcaster TF1, he was awarded an OBE for services to British football in 2003.
