James Vince

Rising Star Of British Cricket

Cricket player and sports speaker James Vince has shown great talent from a young age and is set to become one of the next stars of British cricket; born in Sussex Vince embarked on his career as a cricket speaker and player aged just sixteen leaving school in order to become a professional sportsman.

After attending Hampshire Cricket Academy James Vince joined the club in 2009 alongside fellow graduates Benny Howell, Chris Morgan, Tom Parsons, and Hamza Riazuddin. Vince quickly proved his abilities and after the retirement of former batsman and cricket speaker John Crawley, was made a regular member of the squad. Since then Vince has been a member of Hampshire’s victorious Friends Provident t20 (2010) and the LV County Championship Division Two (2014) squad.

An impressive all-rounder James Vince had not always been dedicated entirely to cricket and, before joining The Hampshire Academy and been a passionate footballer and previously trained as a player and sports speaker at the Reading Football Academy.

Already part of the England under 19’s James Vince is tipped to be a future star of the National team, his work as a cricket speaker and excellent playing abilities mark him as one of the players to watch in coming seasons and have prompted former coach Duncan Fletcher to liken him to the legendary Michael Vaughan.
