I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Returns To Screens

Last night marked the eagerly anticipated return of everyone’s favourite reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Seeing celebrities spend three weeks in the formidable Australian jungle, the famous faces take part in a whole host of terrifying challenges.

This year’s stars will once again be faced with all sorts of creepy crawlies, rats and snakes as they attempt to win much needed meals for camp. Champions Speakers are thrilled that two of the stars on our roster are taking part in the show this year.

Amir Kahn is the former light-welterweight world champion who held the WBA title from 2009 to 2012. He has also held the Commonwealth lightweight title from 2007 to 2008 and the WBC Silver welterweight title from 2014 to 2016. Amir first rose to fame in 2004 when at 17 he became the youngest ever British boxing Olympic medallist when he won a silver medal at the Games in Athens.

His last fight was a defeat to Mexican fighter Canelo Alvarez in a middleweight title fight but has vowed to return to the ring.

Shappi Khorsandi is a stand-up comedian who made her name in 1997 on Joe Wilson’s Comedy Madhouse. Over the course of her career she has appeared on a whole host of popular programmes including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You and QI. Coming from an Iranian background, Shappi’s upbringing shapes most of her material and she has released a comedy book titled A Beginner’s Guide to Acting English. The book charts her youth in a comedy style, outlining her life experiences as an immigrant growing up in the UK.

The duo both took part in challenges in the first episode of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, with Amir walking on across a plank at the peak of a 32-storey building, and Shappi facing her fear of heights by skydiving out of a helicopter.

Everyone at Champions Speakers wishes the pair the best of luck throughout the series. You can see Amir and Shappi in action every night from 9pm on ITV.
