Mick Miller

STAND OUT STAR OF THE 2011 ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE & WON THE HEARTS OF THE NATION IN THE ITV SHOW, "LAST LAUGH IN VEGAS".

Mick Miller is a comedian, actor and all-round nice guy who is best recognised for his big break on ITV’s New Faces, which was a huge talent show in it’s day. The British stand-up comedian is instantly recognisable for his trademark bald head with long hair down the sides.

Surprisingly Millers initial ambition was to be a footballer, playing in goal he was signed for Port Vale as a youth with Sir Stanley Matthews as the clubs General Manager. Miller even had a trial for the England youth team before leaving football to perform at Pontins. While with Pontins, Miller discovered his love for stand-up comedy and acted as chief comedian at various venues before moving to North of England to embark upon his career.

Miller worked extremely hard perfecting his act in UK working men’s clubs before finally getting his big break on ITV Talent show, New Faces where he proceeded to win his heat. His performance on New Faces resulted in him being immediately signed to support Chuck Berry on tour.

During the seventies Miller had many television appearances from co-presenting The Funny Side, appearing on Today With Des and Mel and becoming a regular on The Comedians. Miller also made guest appearances on Des O’Connor Tonight, They Think It’s All Over and Blankety Blank.

In 2011 Peter Kay invited Miller to perform at the Royal Variety Performance which was televised and lead to Miller trending worldwide on Twitter. Miller has appeared on many popular shows from playing Johnny Vegas’ father in BBC 3 sitcom IDEAL to featuring in Peter Kay’s Car Share as the character Tony.

Miller has performed on cruises all around the world as well as major venues such as the London Palladium, The Royal Variety Show and in Las Vegas, which was a huge career highlight for Miller. Miller never disappoints, entertaining big names such as ITV, Ford, Suzuki, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Laughterhouse Comedy and The Comedy Store.
