British comedian, TV presenter and radio host Josh Widdicombe began his media career as a sports reporter for The Guardian newspaper before following his true passion for comedy, months after embarking on this new path Widdicombe found himself nominated for both a Foster’s Best Newcomer and an Edinburgh Festival Best Newcomer award.
Now firmly established as a comedian in the public arena Josh Widdicombe has appeared on a number of popular comedy TV shows including Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and the Last Leg alongside Australian stand-up Adam Hills. Outside of these regular appearances Josh Widdicombe has also appeared on a number of topical panel shows where he has pitted his general knowledge, current affairs awareness and skills as a comedian against the likes to Sean Locke, Jimmy Carr and Kevin Bridges.
As a guest and panellist Josh Widdicombe has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Ends, Have I Got News for You and QI. He has worked alongside some of the UK’s most well-respected and long standing comedians including Frank Skinner and Arthur Smith and has supported Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr.
Josh remains interested in sports and has been applauded for his ability to tear apart sports teams, competitions and players in his work as both a TV and stand-up comedian.
