Stand Up Comedian, Writer & Actor

Stand-up comedian, actor and writer, Ed Gamble, is well known for playing Georgie Carlton in BBC America’s Almost Royal, which has been broadcast on E4 following its U.S. success.

Ed made his solo comedy debut at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he performed his Gambletron 5000 material, although he had appeared for three consecutive years prior, with comedy duo partner Ray Peacock. The duo are credited with creating the biggest ‘buzz’ in the festival’s history, with their 2013 performance.

As a stand-up comedian, Ed has supported the likes of Greg Davies, Russell Kane and Chris Addison, as well as performing in his own right and securing a ‘Best Compere’ Chortle Award in 2014, whilst beating the competition to reach the finals of the Chortle/Revels Student Comedy Awards in 2017.

Ed has made many appearances on TV, including panels shows such as Mock the Week and comedy shows Russell Howard’s Good News and Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central.

As a writer, Ed is known for his work on the Peacock and Gamble Podcast, which has topped iTunes charts and been nominated for a Chortle Award. He has also co-presented BBC Radio 4 Extra’s The Comedy Club alongside Ray Peacock and continues to produce new material.
