Elle Macpherson

Elle Macpherson is a globally recognised model, businesswoman, television host and actress. Hailing from Australia, she started her career in modelling in the 1980s and rose to prominence quite early on. Since then, Elle has proved her mettle as one of the most successful supermodels and entrepreneurs. She is also the Founder of WelleCo - a beauty brand focussed on deriving nature's goodness. 

In the bid to begin studying law at Sydney University, Elle signed up to Click Model Management with the aim of saving up money for her law books. She found herself in a full-blown modelling career when she was featured in a television advertisement for Tab Diet Cola in Australia. During her time as a model, she was featured in a whole host of major publications including Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, GQ and Glamour whilst becoming a frequent face on the cover of Elle Magazine. She also walked the runway for huge fashion labels such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Valentino. She is also famed for being on the cover of Sports Illustrated on six occasions - more than anybody else to date. 

Named Style Icon at the 2006 Elle Style Awards and becoming the global brand ambassador of Revlon Cosmetics, Elle has gone on to leave her modelling agency and gone onto form her own, Elle Macpherson Inc. With her portfolio expanding rapidly with calendar releases, her TV shows being broadcasted and even a series of workout videos being launched, Elle’s name began to rise in popularity within the business world. She also launched her own collection of lingerie alongside Bendon Limited Apparel named Ellen Macpherson Intimates. Following on from the release of the line in 1990, it very quickly became the single best-selling lingerie line in both Britain and Australia and she managed to secure a revolutionary partnership deal with Bendon’s team.

Since then, Elle has launched a beauty and health supplement brand that has also become incredibly popular - even with the likes of British model Kate Moss. Having also delved into an acting career, Macpherson has made appearances in the 1994 film Sirens, the 1996 feature film Jane Eyre and the iconic American TV series, Friends. She has been Executive Producer and Host of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model and NBC’s reality competition series Fashion Star. A keen philanthropist, Elle has shown her support to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. As an ambassador of UNICEF and the Smile Foundation and patron of the National Association for the Children of Alcoholics, she has also proven herself as a great choice for any sort of ambassadorial roles.
