British dressage phenomenon Charlotte Dujardin was catapulted into the limelight after her success at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where she emerged as a double gold medallist. The sporting sensation then went on to win the European Championship 2013 and currently holds all three world records in dressage. A wonderful Olympic speaker, Charlotte knows exactly how to achieve peak performance under the pressure of international competition. Charlotte started riding at just two years of age and instantly fell in love with the sport. By the age of 16, Charlotte’s devotion was abundant, as she had already won the Horse of the Year Show competition an impressive four times and triumphed at Hickstead on three separate occasions. During talks as an after dinner speaker, Dujardin describes the drive, determination and commitment needed to become the best in your field, an attribute applicable to both social and business worlds.
In 2007 the legendary Carl Hester took Charlotte under his wing, and it was at the yard that a winning partnership was born. In 2011 at the dressage grand prix in Rotterdam, Charlotte and novice Dutch Warm blood gelding Valegro, won gold. The horse was initially intended for Hester, but from that point on became a permanent part of a perfect pairing. Describing the importance of relationships in competition and corporate environments, Charlotte is an ideal sports speaker to boost morale and heighten productivity. The pair then went on to win the FEI World Cup Grand Prix at London Olympia in 2011, consequently setting a new world record for the Olympic Grand Prix special scoring at 88.022%, in April 2012. Charlotte and Valegro were selected to represent Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympic Games and in the first round the team smashed the Olympic Record with a mammoth score of 83.784%. The pair were also integral members of the team that won the gold medal in the team dressage event and then went on to wow the judges and the nation in the individual dressage event just two days later.
The routine was accompanied by music from Tom Hunt and included Land of Hope and Glory, The Great Escape and the chimes of Big Ben. Again the pair were victorious with a staggering score of 90.089%, walking away with their second gold of the games. That day a superstar was born, yet Charlotte's humble modesty prevails. Charlotte also qualified to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, taking home Bronze in the team dressage event and a Bronze in the individual dressage event.
Generously offering topics of peak performance, elite athleticism, going for gold and creating a winning mentality, Charlotte makes a delightful Olympic speaker and after dinner speaker for corporate functions and after dinner events. Charlotte’s ability to eloquently converse with an audience, enables her to captivate a room with ease. Having achieved greatness and fulfilled her dreams, makes Charlotte the ideal candidate to inspire and motivate your audience, whatever the event or occasion.
